If two characters were lovers, then in the next chapter their kid might join the family business. Let's say you made a deal with a raven witch in the first chapter and grew bird wings, by the next chapter your transformation might progress to bird legs or talons on your hands. By the end of a questline, you'll have seen your adventuring party's entire career, from the bumble beginnings to a wizened veteran in their 70's or 80's. Each chapter takes years to complete and between each chapter is a time skip that lasts up 15 years. Each questline, and there are four or five main ones, comes in three to five chapters.

Before each mission though there's usually a choose your own adventure segment which can grant buffs or penalties in the upcoming encounter, progress the relationship between two characters, unlock new character transformations, or story threads that might take years to come to fruition. Characters and world maps are procedurally generated (but not battlemaps, I've played enough that I'm starting to recognize certain battlemaps), and it's pretty combat focused. Aside from wings, any other transformations that might be useful? Thanks. It's a tactical RPG with a beautiful, paperlike artstyle, and although I've only been playing it for a couple days, I can already tell it's extremely replayable. Character is still a noob but so far has Vigorflow+ and I gave him a crossbow to make a range mystic. Oh, and I have a mystic with a book that adds +1 infusion.

My question is, do you just play one character repeatedly and not saving for legacy until you get the skills you want? That seems logical (I guess there are mods I can use but I've been holding off going that route.) One of my first characters took the wolf transformation (before I knew much of anything about the game) and she turned out fun to play, but I've taken her on almost every run since and now sitting at four stars she still has not been offered rogue. It's taken many, many hours of three chapter procedural runs to finally get the core skills on one character since I find it exceptionally difficult to get rogue for some reason. 👍įor making builds, I'm finding it difficult to get core skills for some builds, e.g. Hi RisingDusk, I've been watching your Wildermyth Youtube videos. I'm curious what people's favourite transformation/class combos are and how you use them in battle? I have a mystic going through a Sylvan transformation but I've genuinely not yet seen the final version of this yet so I don't actually know what kind of playstyle will come with this. I have both a Hunter and Warrior who are fire, at the moment I think it probably suits the Hunter best, but the warrior hasn't finished transforming yet so we'll see. I also have a warrior with crow wings but he has a rare artifact weapon so I'm not quite ready to fully transform him at this stage.

I have a Hunter Wolf, and although the wolf can't do range which hunters are good for, I like putting him in the greyplane to sneak up on enemies and basically destroy enemies with high physical defense in a single turn. As in, her interfusions give her more physical attack as well as provides defense, also giving her the ability to do more interfusions, so that her physical attacks as a crow do some damage and I can put her on the front line. Like, do you prefer a class that plays to the transformation's strengths, like bear and warrior? Or do you get interesting benefits from less intuitive combos?Ĭurrently I have a Mystic who's a crow, but the way I've evolved her as a mystic is one that specifically benefits melee fighting. I'm just curious what people think are the best classes for specific transformations.
